My personal viewpoint of forensic psychology has changed as a result of this course. Before taking this course, I equated forensic psychology with law enforcement and forensic science. I believed that the work of forensic psychologists is to survey crime scenes and detect numerous psychological evidence that will assist in catching the criminal. I also viewed forensic psychology as a field where psychiatrists and psychologists offer counseling to inmates or convicted offenders on parole or probation.

The course has enabled me to learn that forensic psychology is concerned with the synthesis and application of psychological principles and knowledge in the legal procedure.
